Filmmaking / Directing : Funding... How to do it? by Vincenzo Fehring

So, as with most "fresh meat" film makers, I am asking the question that has been asked just as much as the question about the chicken and the egg. How does one fund a movie? I know there is the route of using friends, family, and our own money. I am talking about outside of those sources. How does one find and identify potential investors. How does one locate money for their project?
