Kick starter - Making real fan made movies from games.

Right then people Andrew Unvericht and a few people have been discussing Video game movies and what we would like to make to pay respect to our favorite games. Im thinking if we make a team from YOU guys at stage 32 and maybe if we can sort this out and make a kickstarter to make a short film based on a video game. I will need commited people to work on this with me, we need to make everything here, script, storyboads, crew, actors etc etc the more people the better!!! So nothing too big like mass effect or anything like that maybe something along the lines of The Last of Us,Counter strike,PAYDAY or Splinter cell. I'll check this everyday so make your comments heard and i hope to here from you soon. P.S DISTANCE DOES NOT MATTER! we can all help each other :)

I would definitely be interested in this especially if The Last of Us is one of the films done. Quite honestly, that is the only one out of this list that I've played and can remember extremely well. There's a couple of things that I've wanted to write about that the main campaign didn't go into a lot of detail. Any help I can be to this idea please let me know! : )

Stuart Mckeown

Glad for your input Maurice spread the word my friend.

Andrew Unvericht

I am 100% down for it

Liam Lionheart

Very interested and will commit to any project that's draws my interest. I'm a Gears of War fan and wrote a script about the beginning before the new game came out.

Stuart Mckeown

The Pendulum wars im guessing?

Stuart Mckeown

Hey guys little update i have started a vote on what you want to make so your input would be great thanks! https://www.facebook.com/groups/646166398740967/

Maurice Hooks

Please approve me so I can go and vote lol

Norman Welthagen

The Last of Us will be difficult unless you did a prequel story. The period during the outbreak. I'd look at Uncharted.

Janet Biery

Check the legal rights out first. Video games are creative property. Did you write the game?

Norman Welthagen

Janet, Stuart is talking about doing a "fan" film where zero money will be made. Perfectly legal.

Doug Spice

Perfectly legal to make it... not necessarily legal to SHOW it anywhere. Different studios/publishers/giant media conglomerates handle this sort of thing in different ways, from "let it ride" to "unleash the law hounds!"

Bill Shannon

www.facebook.com/tiltedstraightproductions We are doing a Legend of Zelda fan film parody. According to the Fair Use Act, as long as it's a "friendly parody", Nintendo cannot stop us. Much like no one can stop Weird Al.

Stuart Mckeown

Good luck Bill looks like a great laugh SMASH THEM POTS!

Stuart Mckeown

Right then guys last post, myself and a few others have voted to do outlast ( check it out its terrifying ) as our video game production and i have set up a page for anyone who wants to follow us or even get involved thanks again have a great day! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Outlast-Kickstarter-Short-film/4365101997...
