Hi everyone! I've launched a Kickstarter campaign for post-production on my film "At The Maple Grove." After writing for NBC's "Heroes," this is my first feature as a writer/director. I would greatly appreciate any support, even if it's just sharing it with your friends, family and colleagues. Inspired by John Cassavetes' "The Killing Of A Chinese Bookie," Bob Fosse's "All That Jazz" and Fellini's "8 1/2," the film tells the story of a renowned night club called The Maple Grove while it preps for what might be its final show, interwoven with the experience of a young filmmaker who suffers a health scare and how his creativity bleeds into life when he begins making a movie. Here's an article that I wrote about our shoot day with veteran actor and frequent Cassavetes collaborator Seymour Cassel: http://www.examiner.com/article/on-cassel-and-the-influence-of-cassavete...
One last comment for further reading, this is an article that I wrote about a live show that we put on during production: http://filmcourage.com/content/‘it’s-showtime-folks”-by-crzatta
