Ok ppl here goes... Im currently working on my first project entitled Standpoint:The Series. I have 10 episodes already written, almost done editing the trailer for the season, almost done filming the pilot. Paying for everything out of pocket at the moment. Its been tough but I love that I'm doing my passion. Thing is I cant afford to shoot the rest of the episodes. The plan... launch an Indiegogo campaign with the trailer to get the funding. I have a budget for the whole season but only gonna ask for 1/3 of it in the campaign to film 4 more episodes to get fans riled up to launch another campaign to finish the first season. I want a podcast for the series and have a book series in the works for it too. My goal is to distribute this myself so the money comes back to my team because I don't know the TV networks will soon fall (in my opinion) because of the rise in online distributing so I don't want to pitch to them. Thinking of Vimeo and Netflix but I don't know where to start. Am I on the right track as far as my plan? Are there time restraints as far as how long it needs to be for the TV route & VOD route? Please guide me. Thanks in advance. My apologies for the long description lol Fan page for my project: www.fb.com/Standpoint like the page if you find it interesting and spread the word if you can
