Depends on the character but when I hear Texas I think Camila or Natalia, however second or third generation Dixie comes to mind. Good Luck

Wow you guys are amazing!!! okay, I'm gonna compile a list and run it through my "focus group" lol I'll let you know what name I pick. Then I'll need a sir name @ Kathleen "Exotic meaning ethnic not usually seen in Texas or just unusual?" More of less unusual although she could be played by an ethnic actress. Her grandfather was a navel captain, her mother was a respected southern lady and her father was an artist, although he took his wife's name because his wasn't so respected. :)

I knew a really cool persian gal in Portland named Sahar, always liked that name. I also met an Israeli artist (female) named Hagit, I thought that was pretty interesting too.
