Screenwriting : Hiring an Artist by Vienna Avelares

Hello everyone, many blessings and best wishes in your endeavors. By the way, thank you guys for helping me out, all of your responses have been a big help to me , and I certainly appreciate your support. I am bringing a friend on board who is an outstanding artist. She is young, and this is going to be her first time creating characters for a screenwriter, but my question is: If my script gets sold what about the characters that she will be drawing for me? How will she copyright the characters that she will be drawing for me? Has anyone worked with an artist and will like to give me some feedback on this, thank you? She is helping me out, and I want her to benefit as much a I will, if my script gets auctioned in the future. (LOL you guys know how this business is, wishful thinking)
