Big Dreams in Small Towns

Hey, I am an actor in a not so actor friendly state, Nebraska. So for all those knowing my struggles or having overcome them any ideas as to what my next step should be? So far I am doing small theater plays and local college classes to get more credentials. I have been expanding my networks, pages, and craft. I have not found any talent agencies or agents locally but still looking. Soon I will have a camera of my own to make reels and other small films. I will update when this happens but until then any advice? Thanks!

Stay connected with those in school. They have "skin in the game". Those are the one's serious enough to do something about their careers. Do not get involved with 'cliks,' stay open and equal. Do not try to be where some of have gotten after years in only months. Be an active listener. The theater work is going to afford you some much desired skills.

I'd say look for agents in markets that are near you that you would be able to travel to. Also, consider that you may have to move. Try this also: http://voices.yahoo.com/best-talent-agencies-omaha-nebraska-10356277.htm...
