Short films, past and present, are true works of art, and deserve a venue dedicated to their exhibition. The Miami Short Film Festival's mission is to present quality short films from around the world, as well as to support, recognize and honor filmmakers for their visionary excellence in creating films under 30 minutes. The Miami Short Film Festival is a dedicated contributor to the cultural arts, economy, and education of Miami-Dade County. Through a highly effective strategic partnership model, MsFF has introduced its unique programs and programming year-round into theaters, classrooms, businesses, and organizations throughout Miami-Dade County. With over 700 submissions from all corners of the globe, 100 short films (under 20 minutes) have been chosen to screen in The 12th Annual Miami short Film Festival. Special Encore presentations, MsFF After Dark, will screen nightly at 9pm at the Miami Beach Cinematheque. This season, when the curtains rise on Opening Night to kick off the week-long packed screening schedule, patrons of the Miami short Film Festival will be privy to a taste of a virtual cinematic smorgasbord.
