Bringing 16-bit RPG VG Characters As Timing/Animation Director

Times change and they change rapidly. Video games were just little sprites that run amuck on your screen and now you can now use those very same graphics to tell a story. Yes, it’s very possible now. They’re called machinima and our mission is to create a RPG satire-drama that achieves three milestones: • Create a RPG satire that makes so much of the fun of other RPGs that we have all came across. • Use this RPG satire-drama to tell an engaging story to our audience. And this is the most important one of all… • To educate our audience in a way that’s kick-ass about the worldwide financial crisis that’s heading in our direction. Post-Dollar is about two friends (one insane, the other ill-prepared) as they deal with the worldwide currency collapse that occurs in 2016. This is hefty project as we all want this project to be fulfilled as the best project ever. From hiring writers and voice actors to even an animation team, this animation project is to surpass everyone’s expectations on what Internet animation can really do! Which brings me to introducing who I am, what we do, and who are we looking for. My name is Evan Wilder and I work with E.Wil Entertainment, LLC. Our mission is to bring high-quality animation to the Internet. In essence, we are the Internet’s Pixar. And who are we looking for to join us on our goal? An animation timing director, of course. Of course, we need to explain a few things first, though. We are handling animation that you may not be all-too familiar with… We are handling animation that regards to machinima (in other words, old-school video game graphics) For more references to what we’re talking about, check out Dorkly and Sonic for Hire. Because of this, someone who is familiar with video game from the old times (early 90s/16-bit: think Secret of Mana and Final Fantasy.) So, as an Animation/Timing Director, what can you expect? Feel free to expect: • To oversee all animation in regards to both character and background animation. • Geographically place background environments and characters in locations that make logistical sense – with a machinima however, this is very simplistic easy. • Time both the movements of the characters and the background in a way that makes the both aspects of the characters and environments feel real to the audience. • Communicate with both background and character animation teams of how animation is timed. • Communicate with showrunner, the writing staff, and the producer of the show. And guess what… Our goal is to be the Internet’s Pixar without the giant studio! So, if you’re excited about: • Animation • Being Punctual • Being Professional About Your Craft • Working With Others • Passionate • Reasonable • Have An Eye For The Detail Then, come work with us! One disclaimer we want to say is that we are placing this project to be crowdfunded. However, everyone that works on this project will be compensated for their contribution on an episodic basis.
