Hey folks, I was just wonde…

Hey folks, I was just wondering if anyone here knows of a cheap studio in London for dialogue replacement dubbing; my short film has some sketchy exterior sound recording, and needs replacing, but my budget is basically non-existent. Can anybody shed some light on this, perchance?

Simon Watt

Hi if you have a reasonable mic around (even a shure 58) and you can record the audio takes then perhaps your music guy can import it int the score and with some careful syncing/mixing reverb to make it sound where it should it can turn out good.

Hey! Yeah, I was probably going to just record it myself; the acoustics in this place aren't wonderful, but they're good enough, and I've got the directional mic that we used for the interior scenes, which has given us great sound so far. And I'm the music guy, too :p I guess my next question is, do you have any idea what kind of workflow is best for an Adobe setup? (After Effects, Premiere, Audition, etc.)

Simon Watt

Not to sure on that I use Logic so the audio effects and score can all be on the same project. You can then just import audio into a new track and sync etc from there.
