They face several challenges and attempt to overcome them - together. Character Descriptions: Barbara: 23-26, Black, Female. Passive-aggressive. Wants everyone to get along. Cheerful and optimistic and also quite emotional at times. Jackie: 29-31, Black, Female. Workaholic, great cook, family oriented although she has no husband or children of her own. Loyal and committed to her responsibilities. Karen: 33-35, Black, Female. Professional accountant, determined, focused and often stressed from the burdens or carrying the load. Mr. Barker: 60-70, Black, Male. Retired veteran, reserved, quiet but caring. Very observant. Jeremy: mid-30s, Black, Male. Community activist, political figure. Ambitious, outspoken and involved.
