Every month we run a social but each Social has a purpose, a reason for you all to come come together. The idea is to provide ongoing personal and professional development to assist you in this hard but exciting world we love so much. They will be held on the third Tuesday of every month. You are invited to share your experiences, stories, nightmares and secrets with anyone who has been, is going to, or wants to go, to the largest international arts festival in the world. Learn vital tips for preparing, producing, performing and recovering to guide you through those common f**k ups and assist with that dreaded budget planning and marketing strategies. WAKE UP CALL: Did you know the average audience size at the Edinburgh Fringe is a mere four people? If you are an actor/performer this is a prime opportunity to open the doors to future employment and experience. Come along for objective opinions on your CV and Covering Letters from your peers and the WYTN Team. Accessing other people’s CVs gives you a critical opinion of your own CV. This, in conjunction with group feedback, will give you the insight into how you are presenting yourself on paper and the chance for you to help others. This is a group session where everyone is asked to feedback to each other in a friendly and supportive manner. Please bring several copies for you CV and covering letter; include a note stating what job you were applying for and with what company. ... OR go to professional CV writers for £100/hr. Your chance to audition in front of a panel of industry professionals in a realistic setting. You will receive genuine and constructive feedback during the evening so you can refine your performance. In order for you to benefit from this valuable feedback and experience this will be treated as a real audition and same expectations apply. Your piece should be no longer than three minutes. This is also a fantastic opportunity to network amongst your peers, make new contacts and build productive and reciprocal relationships.
