The Actor as A Sign System

The actor is the ultimate sign system. Through the body alone the actor can tell thousands of stories through his/her actions.

I am setting up an off off B'way production of my cutting edge play The Leftover Brother for a staged reading in July or into 2013. I woul like to hear from NYC actors, one female, 33ish, two men late thirties and an older gent 60 - 80

Do you know a good book on the semiotics of theatre or theatre as a sign system? I have one but it is not quite ticking the box for me.

I know of three which helped me for my dissertation. 'Theatre as Sign-System', Elaine Aston and George Savona. 'The Semiotics of Theatre and Drama', Keir Elam. 'The System of Objects', Jean Baudrilland. Hope this helps :)

Thanks, I think I have one of them somewhere. :)
