Hi, I'm Karen Steinberg. I just self-published my first young-adult fiction novel entitled I'll Always Be Me under my Pen Name, Renee Stein. It's about a 15-yr old girl who finds out she was adopted as an infant and never been told. It has been available on Amazon.com and Createspace.com for the past week and it's been really exciting. I work as a teacher now but it's my dream to become a successful f/t writer eventually. I'm here to meet fellow writers to befriend, learn from and even help others looking to get published and spread the word that you don't have to wait to get an agent or major publishing house to take you on as a client to get published. You can do it yourself and feel so much pride with the finished product that looks as professional as any major publishing house would do for you. I learned of this site from a friend - and I"m happy to be here. Hope to meet many of you.

Welcome Karen! I'm not a writer, but a screenwriter, looking for new possibilities. Do you ever wondered about turning your novel into a screenplay? I'll be happy to talk about it if you want you! Best wishes to you
Hi Emily, thank you so much!! Hi Jonathan, it would be a dream to have my book turned into a screenplay - would have been a perfect "afterschool special" but I'm dating myself, lol.

Hi Karen, first of all congratulations on publication of your book. Now, a proposal : if you think your story is good enough to be written into a screenplay for movie/ short-film/ TV-series or in any form AND if you want it to be, message me! :-) I am a screenwriter and we can work on a project together.
I'm looking for writing partners to start some new projects right now, and if you already have a good story, we can adapt it together and make it real. Think about it, and message me if you're interested!

Hi Karen. I'm a writer with stuff on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other places. The best advice I can offer is keep writing, write the best novels you can, and get more material up on Amazon. Amazon is vast, like space, a place where books can easily get lost. The more you have out there, the more likely people will bump into your work. And if they like it, they'll look for more. That and reviews are how you get found. Good luck.
Thank you Mark! Great advice, I appreciate it!
Great advice, Mark. Appreciate you sharing.

This is fantastic, Michael. Would love if you would post how this came to be in our Success Stories section of the Lounge. Think the community would enjoy hearing more about it!
