Hello, all. I'm an actor from North Carolina. I've been an actor for 45 years, but just started calling myself one seriously about 5 years ago. I studied theatre arts at University of Kansas (starting in 1968), but never finished a degree. I joined the army to help pay for school later, but forgot to get out for over 20 years. By that time I had been brainwashed by the "do something sensible" people, and used by education benefits to get a degree in computer information systems. I worked as a computer programmer, a computer consultant, and an employment consultant, never enjoying any of it. One evening I showed up at a community theatre, late for an audition, screwed up the words to "On The Street Where You Live" (which is a lousy audition song, anyway), read from a script with a lot of people I had never met before but who all knew each other, and got a part in spite of myself. Since then, I have appeared in ten plays and musicals at that theatre, three in other community theatres, and two professional venues. I've been a principle in three student short films, two at UNC School of the Arts and one at UNC Wilmington. Those have all been a lot of fun, and I would be thrilled for any opportunity to expand my film/television experience. I'm retired now, and have lots of time on my hands that could be used productively in any performing arts venue. plays-well-with-others.com
