Hello everyone! I am an aspiring screenwriter currently living in Vancouver. I attended Vancouver Film School three years ago, but I had to take a hiatus from my writing and filmmaking aspirations to focus on just finding an job and supporting myself in the city. But my New Years resolution is to is to get back into my screenwriting, and I have already started writing a short film. I would really love to network more and meet more people who are in the industry, and I would be interested in collaborations as well. I just want to do whatever I can to get my foot in the door. I am interested in directing as well.

Hi Mel -- when I was screenwriting for a living I wanted to direct. When I finally got a directing gig friends said to me "I didn't know you wanted to direct..." So keep saying it. And make a film. Storytelling with the camera is what it's all about and an individual with a digital camera and a computer is capable.of this. My short film (which got me my first gig) cost 30K. Digital changes all that. Go experiment with or w/o a written script.
