Us tax credit in jeopardy again! urgent.

To Whom it May Concern. Happy New Year and please read attached message. With the stroke of midnight, we not only began a New Year, but we also saw the expiration of the Federal film production tax credits. This action by members of Congress, not only severely hurts the small independent film production companies and talent, but further weakens the tax receipts taken in by this country. It is FACT, that for every $1 received in Federal tax credits, in 2013, these film production companies, brought in $12 in taxable revenue, for state, local, and federal governments. Without the federal tax credits, not only will it hurt these film production companies and talent, but will further weaken the economy of the United States. As film production companies are forced to make cutbacks in order to compensate for these losses, the state, local and federal governments will lose an estimated $23 in taxable revenue, for every $1 that they would have provided in tax credits for these productions. The math is simple. I urge that you contact you local elected officials in Washington, and demand that these tax credits to the film industry be restored. Sincerely, Stefanie Levina
