Hi folks, not a screenwriter, though I'd love to be. I'm a successful playwright, with productions somewhere in the world every month. Currently I'm most excited about "Love in a Time of Zombies" being produced in Seattle this Spring, and a possible short film version of my play "On the Way to Mars". Loving meeting so many talented and creative people here on Stage 32!

Damian, Welcome to Stage 32 and best of luck in your writing ventures!
Thanks for posting, Damian. We have so many playwrights on this site, but, remarkably, a majority are very shy. Would welcome your thoughts, opinions, expertise - whatever you'd be willing to post and discuss - in the PLAYWRITING section of the Stage 32 Lounge. Maybe you can bring some of those hiding in the shadows out into the sun. Congratulations on all your success, best of luck in all your future endeavors, and, once again, thanks for participating.
Thanks Melissa and RB! Would love to contribute more - maybe I should make that part of my New Year's Resolutions?
Thanks Elisa and Kathryn! I did have a guy try and make a short film from my play "The Golf War Widows". He did a lovely job, from what I saw, but the bar they filmed in had a noisy ice-maker, and he had to do some ADR. I never heard from him again, and the website with production photos vanished. I wish he'd sent me the footage at least....
Damian, Writer/director here in Portland Oregon. Are you familiar with the Fertile Ground Festival? It's centered on new plays, yet to be produced. If you know of anyone in Portland, please let them know about TWO STARCHES and EXPIRATION-Feb. 2nd 3:00pm. Would like to know more ayour work. Take care, Charles Rule
Hi Charles! Don't know any Portlanders myself, though I passed through there last year and it looked fine. You can find out more about my work by trundling through my pompous and long-winded blog www.dtrasler.com which contains some stuff about my plays, lots about my books and the occasional rant about the Inland Revenue and Microsoft....
Thanks Charles (Waaaay out of date catching up with Stage 32!) I haven't been keeping up with local festivals. Getting a publisher has made me lazy!
