I'm the Director of Asbury Shorts, New York City's longest running annual exhibition of award-winning short films. We also tour with the show which is entitled: "The Asbury Short Film Concerts," not a festival, more of a roving entertainment event introducing world-class short films to new communities and audiences at various venues across the U.S. We are currently seeking new short films for consideration especially for our annual Manhattan flagship show taking place in May. Hello Doug, I run an entertainment networking group here in NYC. The group is called the NY Actors Tweetup (NYActorsTweetup.com) and although we are an actor-centric group, I work hard to invite non-actors to our events in the hope of connecting like-minded professionals who can collaborate to bring indie projects to fruition. What's different about these events is that I don't identify anyone by their industry role. Rather I leave it up to each individual to make connections organically. Our next event is Monday, February 3rd at 7pm at American Whiskey in mid-town. I hope you'll consider joining us. It might be a great place to find content & spread awareness about your festival!

Very Cool!!!

Hi Marissa...thanks so much for the invite. Very cool of you to reach out! We've been doing this show in NYC since 1988 and touring for the past dozen years. Content we don't need as we are pursued by filmmakers all over the world but we are seeking some folks to help us promote individual shows and also help us to book additional road shows which might be of interest to some of your attendees who work freelance or part time. The Asbury Short Film Concert is a non competitive / non festival type entertainment event screening short films for the general public in historic venues. I hope to make it down on 2/3. I'm also a TV commercial line producer so that experience may come in handy that night. Thanks very much and all the best doug
