If you could cast ANYONE as your male and female leads in a film who would you choose? For me, it would be Keira Knightley and Sam Rockwell. I have a feeling the chemistry would be fantastic and you wouldn't even need a script!
"and you wouldn't even need a script!" A difficult thing for a writer to hear from a producer. As if story and characters and plot and dialogue simply come from actors with good chemistry. They just make it up as the cameras roll.
Alright. Good point. As a writer myself I agree. However, I still believe they would have great chemistry together. So @D Marcus... who are your choices?
Simon, I, too, agree Knightley and Rockwell would have great chemistry together. In the right project. My casting choices would depend on the needs of the script. There are actors I admire who may not be right for every role. So as a producer I would start with the script and not with the actors.
Ahhh, the best laid of plans... Let me reword the OP. What I was intended to ask was this: What two actors, male and female, would you enjoy working with?
The screenplay DIGGER that I wrote is based on an actual guy I know. For that project...I'd cast him. But he'd probably say "no". In that case, it would have to be somebody "new and upcoming".
The first answer that popped into my mind was Chris Zylka. I like him in everything I've seen him in, and he'd be perfect for the antagonist-you-can't-hate character in my show. Lindsey Shaw would be just right for one of the leads. Funny, the two of them have worked together several times. Both seem like they'd be good people to work with, but that's just a hunch.
I would want my leading actor to be Mark Wahlberg because he is a great actor and I would want my leading actress to be Scarlett Johannsen. I don't know why but they both are great actors and they both have a lot of charisma so it would be something exciting.
Hmm good question, I may be a bit biased because I'm currently working on a screenplay and in my head I see, Lara Pulver and Tom Hiddleston. I think the chemistry would be amazing! It also helps that they are both such great actors.
Thank you, Simon. I very much love to be different, especially if it is in a good way! But truly, I adore both actors and have great respect for their work. There are very few parts that I think they wouldn't excel at. (That was a somewhat convoluted sentence, but you get my meaning, I am sure!)
Just saying his name Tom Hiddleston makes me quiver... He's so... just so... Majestic! I absolutely love him! However, I would like to choose someone who is unknown, someone in the underground...
Well that's a wide open question - it depends on the requirements of the part of course. But I'd have to say that my favorite actor these days is Joaquin Phoenix. Actress, I'd have to say, at least at first consideration, Natalie Portman.

Interesting choices Leah... Not ones that I would expect from most people, which is always cool!
