Hi. I'm new to 32 and really don't know anything about it. I am a screenwriter who has written many scripts, but have yet to see one go to production. One of my scripts has been published on Amazon as a book, but it is just the script with a cover. I am not listed on the cover, but given credit on the first page as the writer. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I agree I think you'll find what you need there.
I am having my contract looked over. I was paid to write the screenplay and don't own it, but must be given credit.
Yes, it was a write for hire contract with a few exceptions. If it goes into production, I get paid more depending on the budget. It states in the contract that I was signing for film rights but didn't mention book rights. That is why a lawyer is looking it over. You're right, though, about exposure. It was the very first thing I wrote where I got paid and I was doing it mostly for the experience and exposure.
Hi Jane! I have a book on Amazon as well did you do self publishing or do you have a publisher? How did you work out this deal if you dont mind me asking
Jane, it sounds as if this happened without your knowing. Maybe you should contact the people at Amazon. Their publishing platform is CreateSpace. Have you sold any copies? Do you get any royalties?
it feels great to be an author. congratulations!
I did contact Amazon but there isn't anything they can do. I do not get anything for sales.
Shanelle, I did not put the book there, but I actually am almost finished with one that I will place on Amazon. The book currently on Amazon was put there by the person I wrote the script for. I get credit only.
Awesome! Congrats on finishing the book. What's it about? P.S. Thanks for the follow. :)
... Congrats welcome to Stage32...
Janet, it's called The Biggest Bully and it is about dealing with the public school system. It's 6 rules to follow, each one followed by stories of my experiences with my seven children. I come out the hero, of course.
Hi, Welcome Jane... I am curious to know what happens to the book thing... keep us posted... There are new things happening everyday that we like to be made aware of... again, welcome! :)
