Stage 32 Meetups : Meet Up in South Florida by Ingrid Webster

Hi Ingrid - connect with Deborah Weed on here. She had started this process for the area, not sure how much feedback she got but I know she got some. I met up with her a couple of weeks ago in Palm Beach Gardens. I live in Jensen Beach but am down there often. I'm pretty slammed for the next 2 months on a handful of projects but I'd definitely like to be in the loop if a meet up comes about.

Hi Laurie - Thank you for your suggestion! Surely I will do that and let you know. I'm definitely planning on a get-together soon. Even if there are only a few people, it can always grow from there.

I'd be interested. I'm in Deerfield Beach (Broward) but I can access the lower half of Palm Beach County pretty easily. Please keep me informed.

Hi all. I will be moving to the Palm Beach area within the next year, look forward to meeting other Stage 32 members and would appreciate more information. Thank you.

Here's the scoop: the first meeting is going to be Wednesday, 3/26/14, at 6:00 pm. You will get free appetizers and Happy Hour drink prices. Still confirming a location, and you should be able to find out in the next couple of days. My thoughts are to have monthly meetings. Any input?

Bill, as I'm confirming the location for the first meeting, it more than likely is not very far from where you are. Sure hope that it is where you can get to easily. Cheers!

Regardless of the location, 6 o'clock is tough to make, for those of us with full time jobs. It's a challenge to get to anything before 7. I realize that those "in the biz" are more flexible, but those of us who have to work full time are not free during weekdays.

Good point, David. For that reason, there is no cut-off time for these meetups, and anybody who can make it at any point during the meeting is surely more than welcomed. I hope that this will accommodate people with a work schedule.

I'm split between LA, NY, and Miami. I was up in the PSL area for Digital Domain (but that went the way of the dodo) I am in Miami now and was considering starting up some meetups since joining the Miami Film Society, but I would love to participate in any meetups throughout WPB/FTL/MIA.

Emanuel, thanks for making me aware of the date, but we were both wrong ;-) (April 6 is a Sunday) The correct date for the meeting is April 2. I'm a Blonde - I know, but hey - I'm a nice person :-)

Sorry for the delay. Had some issues with the first location, but we now have a definitive place and time. PLEASE NOTE: first meeting will be on THURSDAY, April 3, from 6:00pm til ? The meeting is at Atlantis Grill & Bar, in Atlantis, FL. Easily accessible from I-95 and plenty of parking. Happy hour drinks until 7:00 and free appetizers for our group.
