Acting : Seeking voice actors for an independent 3d animated film series by Jose Rodriguez

ABOUT: Nothing to Lose is a 3D animation film series based on a group of survivors and their experiences during the zombie apocalypse. ANTICIPATED RELEASE DATE: 2014-2015 PURPOSE: We are currently looking for voice actors to be a part of this ongoing project. As the project manager of our animated film series, it is my responsibility (and pleasure) to scout and recruit the right mix of people who can voice act the roles for our animated film project and bring our characters to life. The film series will feature a relatively large number of character roles but right now our priority is to scout and recruit our top 11 characters – 6 males and 5 females. Please note that the script for characters 10 and 11 are currently being revised and will be added to the attached "Character Lines" document soon. We anticipate the series to run for 3 seasons. This is not a fan series; rather, it is our own original work and all original characters. The characters you can voice act are listed below; if interested, details as to how to submit your voice test are listed after the "Character Descriptions" section. I am asking for anyone, whether they have voice acting experience or not, to have a go at this project. Compensation and project details will be thoroughly discussed with qualifying candidates only. FAQs: When does this job start and how long will production last? We anticipate the series to run for 3 seasons; at this time we are looking to secure voice actors for the first season, and if there is a mutual interest after Season 1, there is potential for the voice actors to stay on board for Season 2 and 3. We actually prefer the same voice actors to voice all three seasons. The start date and overall length of production is currently TBD (to be determined). Is this a paying job? Not up front as we are following a crowd-funding payment structure, which means there may be no guarantee of payment. The production costs of this film series is anticipated to be funded by a crowd-funding campaign that will be launched on Kickstarter.com. (The campaign date is currently TBD). Compensation will be provided if campaign funding goal is met. If our campaign funding goal is not met, voice talents will retain all work as unpaid portfolio pieces. Further compensation and project details will only be discussed with qualifying candidates. Audition Deadline: June 1 2014 Character Descriptions: Main Character #1 Sex: Male Age: Early 30's Main traits: He is selfless and of high moral character but often struggles with his inner demons. Type of voice: American; natural born leader - powerful, confident, outspoken. Main Character #2 Sex: Female Age: Mid 20's Main traits: Loner, self-righteous and egomaniacal. Awkward, abrasive, very up front and blunt without concerning other people's feelings. Robotic personality. A sense superiority above others. Type of voice: American; strong, abrupt, straight forward and hot-blooded at times. Character #3 Sex: Female Age: Early 20's Main traits: Gothic/Punk; sarcastic, dark yet quirky, and brilliantly creative. Always on the defensive and rarely lets people see her true self. Type of voice: Very strong voice. Character #4 Sex: Male Age: late 20's-early 30’s Main traits: Wildcard. Type of voice: Open to various types/ accents. Rebellious, dark, often pessimistic and reckless. Very selfish. Character #5 Sex: Male Age: Mid 20's Main traits: Loner and truthful. Very up front and blunt without having concern for other people's feelings. Robotic personality. A sense of superiority above others. Type of voice: American; strong. Character #6 Sex: Male Age: Late 30's Main traits: Very laid back and positive character but is also protective and deeply sarcastic at times. Type of voice: Australian accent; assertive, speaks from experience and fearless yet humorous. Character #7 Sex: Female Age: Late 20's Main traits: Emotionally fueled and driven, always know what to say or do in any situation. Type of voice: American; strong and confident. Character #8 Sex: Female Age: Late 20's Main traits: Street smarts, tough and can be vulnerable at times. Secretive. Type of voice: American; British accent. Character #9 Sex: Female Age: Late teens - Mid 30's Main traits: Big brother. Always optimistic and open minded. Type of voice: American; strong backed with wisdom. Character #10 Sex: Female Age: Late teens - Early 20's Main traits: Very naive at times, timid and can be scared easily. Relies on others for strength but can be strong when pushed far enough. Type of voice: American; strong. Character #11 Sex: Male Age: Early 20's Main traits: Nerdy. Shy, nervously but brilliant. Type of voice: American; soft spoken. It's highly recommended (but not required) to record multiple takes, with different voice deliveries, as possible. If your first audition submission is approved, you will receive an email requesting a second addition and if approved, you will receive an offer letter. If you agree to the offer letter and the terms of the project outlined in your contract, the Pilot episode script in its entirety will be sent to you. If your first or second audition submission is denied, you will receive a rejection and thank you letter via email.
