Diary of An Australian Woman: Part 1, Diary of an Australian Teenager

Greetings Stage 32. I just wanted to share what I'm up to write now. On almost Christmas Eve I started a blog that centers around my diaries as a teenager in the mid to late 1970's Australia. It's couched in what was happening in the world then. For any Aussies reading this , if you like "Puberty Blues", you might enjoy reading this blog - except we're in the bush, so near to the beach but yet so far :-0 Part 2 I'm planning to put in book form, and Part 3, in script. Though some amazing stories in Part 2 would make good films. I am anxious to start the scripts now but feel I need to follow this process, and don't really have time to do both simultaneously given other commitments. Anyone interested can see my blog here: http://anaustralianwoman.blogspot.com.au/2013/12/a-little-intro.html I am very open to advice. :-)

I love these types of stories. Are you planning on turning this into a screenplay?

Petra M Campbell

Oh thanks Randy!!! Thank-you for reading my post :-) and taking them time to wonder. Actually we have a TV mini series going on in Oz called "Puberty Blues". Its brilliantly made and is based on a book published in late 70's and a film in early 80's. Its iconically Australian and high quality-centered on beach living - where-as we're up in the mountains - UNESCO listed. Actually I'm writing this to lead to a book for what happens when I leave school. Inside that book there are a few quite unbelievable stories which could go either way in script - to Hollywood or to Europe. So my idea is to get the diaries out of the way to pave the way, and then write book and scripts at same time. Then I want to make some films for Australian cultural heritage- subjective films that represent a snapshot of our culture in time over events. :-0 I see you are in thick of editing technology...

Randy Strong

I'm waiting on my new MacPro fully loaded to arrive with my 39" 4K monitor to start editing feature films. I truly believe that this technology finally turns the tables on big studios and big budget films.

Thanks for the note and hopefully we can stay connected as you expand your project.
