I have been a member of this site for some time now, and fully aware it is a networking site for “Wanna-Be and professional people, hey we all need to start somewhere. I am lucky I have taken a hobby to a major profession employing a number of staff. I have started to get a number of members contact me offering their services to work on my projects, on asking questions I am finding they hold none of the qualifications they state to hold on their profile, why do members do this ?? When it comes to it they will be found out, and it is not good for the sites reputation or that member, remember the best advertising is “Word of Mouth” It’s FREE and bad news travels quick Ken YA I NO Productions
Being professional isn't the tough part. Opportunities and politics play a role in most of our success.

It's very tempting to lie up your experience. Especially if you're broke and need money. I'd rather be patient and work on my comics and dangle my portfolio in front of people - and hope to get some work. (I'm a writer - I can do graphic novel, screen/teleplay and have started learning audio dramas).

Wise words and I agree. Word of mouth is by far the best form of advertising. However, abuse it, advertise falsely and it can destroy you in an instant.
