Hi all. I'm in Tampa getting ready to put on my fifth charity showcase, Life Amplified KIDZHELPINGKIDZ. I'm looking for talented 6-17 year olds who want to perform at Carrollwood Players Theatre on May 3 to raise funds for Bricks 4 the Brave, Tampa chapter (formerly Legos for Leukemia.) All proceeds from raffle and tickets sales of this 100% volunteer showcase will benefit the organization and help with its collection of Legos for cancer patients in St. Joseph's Children's Hospital for delivery at Christmas. This showcase is kid-emceed and kid-performed. We currently have rappers, dubsteppers, comedians, and musicians and I'm looking for even more! I'm looking for singers, dancers, musicians, martial arts demos - any type of variety talent - no previous experience required, just the ability to have fun! If you are in the area and have (or know of) any talented kids, please tell them to register at www.lifeamplifiedshowcase.com. When I'm not producing a variety and spoken word showcase quarterly, I've owned an award-winning graphic/web design and copywriting company, The WriteOne Creative Services since 2005 and have written two books - a YA fiction and a child's early reader picture book. I've also written two plays for Carrollwood Players Theatre Black Coffee staged readings and was selected to have a third produced for their upcoming One Act Weekend in May. I also trying my hand at first-time directing. I got back into acting two years ago by accident after reporting on Carrollwood Players Theatre and discovering their existence in my neighborhood when I was a reporter for AOL Patch. I also write song lyrics, but know nothing about writing music, so if anyone is interested in combining talents??? I look forward to virtually meeting all you amazing likeminded people here in Stage 32. Thanks! Deb www.thewriteonecreativeservices.com
