Hi, Dorine! There's no secret formula for it. Here's one approach you can try. Before writing a whole screenplay, come up with the pitch, what you would say to sell it. Then try that pitch out on people you know, preferably on people who have some sense of the industry. If something isn't working in your pitch, change it now, BEFORE you write an entire script.
