I was invited to join Stage 32 even though I'd spent 35+ years in the game industry and none in film or TV. I realize a lot of you could be making connections and marketing your skills to game developers -- especially if the Stage 32 lounges had a game dev lounge to make us feel more welcome I know there is some cross over between our fields. Many games, or at least the dialog, is scripted. Some games used green/blue screen. Many 3d games use motion capture. Our cameras are virtual and can fly through walls. Many games use actors for live action and voice actors for dialog. Games need music and sfx. Games use similar CGI, special effects and post-prouction techniques. Games need trailers to promote themselves. The major difference between games and filmed entertainment is that it is interactive -- the player makes a difference in determining the outcome. Please reply to this posting to show your support for a game dev lounge. This would allow you to reach out to the game industry and them to reach out to you. I suspect that "If you build it they will come!"
