Hi Everyone! I am new to Stage 32 and very excited to learn more about my craft. I am a psychologist by training but have always loved writing. After finally completing my education, I found time to do something that I love. Prior to pursuing my current occupation, I liked to write short stories but I decided to venture into screenwriting. I have always been a big movie lover and found the concept of making movies very similar to psychology. Both draw me in. I am most interested in feature length animation, but I am open to writing live action as well. I've completed one animated script and am in editing mode on it. I have begun another animated script, and have a few ideas for more. I also began writing a live action script, and have several ideas for more (thrillers, comedies, drama, and action). I'm currently experiencing the pain that is the life of a screenwriter... and while it's torture, I really enjoy this. Sadist, I know! I'm hoping to enter contests and eventually find representation. I'm located in Brooklyn, New York.

No, it's not. Dorothy Parker said it first and best, I hate writing, but love having written. It's full of stomach churning, exasperating "I don't knows." But once you're done and happy you have some fraction of what you wanted to show, you can move on. But in the end, you can look back, smile and say, "Yeah, that's my work."

Thanks guys! I'm very excited to progress in my screenwriting journey! I totally get the stomach churning, the irritability, the knocking my head backwards on the wall while literally trying to bang this idea out-- sometimes it is stuck! Lol.... but I do love it (a strange love) and hope that one day, something I write can touch people. I'm so happy that this site is available... I've found people who like banging their heads as much as I do :)
