Anything Goes : Big screen to Small Screen by Matt Holmes

Was reading some very interesting stuff about the conversion of the corn bros classic 'FARGO' to a TV series. Unspecific how characters were completely eliminated during the change because their original (film) performances were so 'iconic' that it might jeopardize viewer perceptions/quality if the role was 'expanded' or 'continued'....but in a movie like FARGO where the iconic performances were the film....is it really worth taking to TV? Just curious what you all think (and I'm on iPhone so I can't see if this topic has already been address, sorry if so
