Greetings. I am a writer/producer in Connecticut. I'm currently writing a creation story called 'The Walls of Heaven', which is based loosely on Gods and humans from Chinese mythology. There is lots of investment capital in the world...but this is way outside my natural wheelhouse.. I need to find other producers/partners who understand who the best non-U.S. animation studios are...maybe in China, maybe London, maybe Vancouver...who knows. I have much learning to do. Don't laugh, but my goal is to do more business than 'Frozen.'

I would go more to Japan. You might have some struggles with political laws for production etc in china. Vancouver is closer and less expensive in some respects. Good for you for setting your dreams high! That means you are not average! The other key is how bad do you want it? What will you do everyday towards those goals? Even if it is baby steps....don't give up. Just keep doing something towards those goals. If you give up you have lost. My last piece of advise is don't listen to the Haters! You are doing what they wish they had...good luck!
Hi my people, my name is Newton Barabara. I love story telling, writing scripts, acting, producing and directing. I am into movie for development, movies that will encourage positive behaviour change. I just came back from Colorado film school where I met Art Thomas of Main man films who has agreed to collaborate on a project on child abuse and trafficking. If my movies can positively change one soul for better I will die a happy man.
Thank you Nancy and Minttu, back home here in Nigeria it's an issue. I have worked with Unicef Nigeria in many communities using Theatre For Development as a tool for behaviour change. It metamorphosed into movie for development, where I did 52 episodes of TV drama running in about 17 tv stations in the south east of Nigeria collaborated with. Right now we are looking at the possibilities of making it go global.
