Hi there all you lovely people. My name is James and I'm a screenwriter based in Newcastle in the United Kingdom. I have been writing for a number of years now and am just looking, as I guess that most of you are, for my big break. I have a number of movies written that are ready to go and a couple of pilots for TV shows. In the past I have had my work read by the BBC, SKY, and a few different production companies. The feedback has always been positive, but alas, nothing has been produced. Anyway, I hope to make some great connections on here and to all of you. I wish you the best of luck. James

Writers use InkTip to connect with industry professionals (producers, agents, and managers) looking for writers to hire, scripts to produce and writers to represent. http://inktip.com/
I agree with Elaine, as a new writer myself I have found it the ideal place to meet and pitch ideas to producers. Some which they even liked. No sales yet but heading in the right direction.
Hi James, sounds like you've got some great work there. Do you have any monologues that actors could use for auditions that might also help get your name out and about? I have no idea if that's a tried and tested (and failed?) strategy but I'm sure there are actors looking for innovative new writing to perform for auditions and if nothing else, maybe it's a nice way to connect with people..Just a thought. All the best!
Thanks Rowen, I do actually. I have not tried this myself, but I might just do that. Thanks for the advice.
