How To Find Your Character's Voice.

Here's a trick I learned this month from Character Development course. This is suppose to help you find your Character's voice and word choices. Take any online or newspaper topic and have your characters express themselves about it. Here's an example of one of the questions from my class and one of my character's response: Q. Which Kardashian for President? A:WARNING CHARACTER USES FOUL AND BIAS LANGUAGE What the fuck is a Kardashian? Is that some sort of shitty drink? Are they one of those queer carrying shoulder bags; sit in cafes all day long because I don't have a fucking life Hollywood people? I could care less which one runs for the seat, we already have enough clowns in the white house. To be honest the people of this great country need a man like me. A man of power and control. Any nation that would fuck with us I'd blow them off the goddamn map while eating a pear. Yours who gives a shit truly... -Carlyle Tranchina Age: 60 Queens, New York Mob Boss
