I've done five or six of these industrial VOs for my place of work, along with a few other small jobs over the past few years, like an introductory video that plays in a hotel for new guests, or a VO that plays on a tour bus in San Francisco. Those others I got through a friend who runs a small boutique production service. I'm considering getting more serious, and putting together a reel and pursuing more work outside these personal contacts. But would really appreciate a listen and feedback from folks with more experience than I to let me know what you think. Have I been getting by on the kindness of friends? Thanks in advance... the link should open a video for you in your browser. Hopefully it works. http://www.marketmotive.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Market-Motive-Tea...

Hi Chip! You have a nice warmth to your voice and a good conversational reading style which is requested by many clients. If you have tenacity, a love for voice over, and money to spend on coaching, sound proofing a room and for equipment, then go for it! Just make sure to get some coaching and lots of practice before producing a demo (with a reputable demo producer).
Thank you Dana! Very nice to hear. I'll definitely take your advice... appreciate your time!
Thank you Dean. Appreciate the support and offer... I'll hit you up if I have any questions (I'm sure I will).
