Introduce Yourself : The Mascot That Never Was by Brian Joseph Spero Jr.

The Mascot That Never Was

I find myself fantasizing, on a daily basis, what could have happened if I tried out to be my college's mascot while I was attending Johnson and Wales U. Providence (RI). As such, I wrote a script based on that fantasy. It was the first thing I wrote I ever completed, probably because there was passion behind it. How much? Enough to be on a 4th version of the script! But the script is a complete plot, with dialogue and the right format, so I've moved on to what's next: Trying to find any way to break into the market with "Mascot", a story I know could be a blockbuster. To prove it's high concept, here's the log line: A college student conquers his fear and becomes his school's mascot to be closer to cheerleader girlfriend when she travels to away games, and unexpectedly starts to actually love being the mascot, but he faces a new issue when he learns he must keep the mascot's identity a secret, even from his girlfriend.

I'm on version 5 now. I flipped a few scenes around to have the main character get to an ultimate goal.
