Hi everyone! My name is Robert Burton, and I'm pleased to be newly involved with Stage 32 :) I'm an actor and producer with a production company based out of Burbank, CA. I also do a lot of VO work for companies like NBC. IMDB Link My company G5 Entertainment Group just finished our first paid development / sizzle reel deal for a completely original reality competition called $chmooze or Lo$e! It's currently being pitched by the client who hired us and is generating a lot of buzz and interest :) We have 12 other projects in various stages of development with 3 that are almost completely funded (not via crowd sourcing). They range in variety to include Television (Sitcom & Drama), Reality Competition, Horror Film, Game Show, Film (Full Theatrical Release), and Faith Based productions. Congratulations Robert! That's pretty exciting news. May I ask how you legalized your production company? My team is ready to take that step and I'm not sure whether to LLC or DBA, etc. Thanks!

Sure Zoran - The best way is to do a full on CORPORATION, never an LLC or DBA. I had to change my company LLC after my first 7 months... too many restrictions. Set it up as a Nevada Corporation instead (costs less, less taxes) that also operates in CA. For every project that you make in the future, also set each one of those up as a separate Nevada CORPORATION. Definitely have Legal Zoom or your attorney help you with this :)
Awesome! Thank you. Yea I was thinking LegalZoom so I'm glad you mentioned it. Can you do the Nevada set up through LegalZoom or is there some IP address issue I'm gonna have to worry about? Thank you for your input :)
Talk to a human if possible, but yeah - you should be able to easily get around that.

Great looking work Robert. I love the idea of the "arrogant artist"! If you ever find yourself needing a designer for any of your project (or company) I have a ton of entertainment experience building websites, titles, pitch books, business cards, etc. So just let me know. All the best.
