Fight Choreographers!

So, I am shooting my Thesis film for school next semester and it is a martial art movie. This will be my first one even though I am OBSESSED with martial art movies. (I never realized how much more production-wise goes into them) Is there anyone who can recommend a fight choreographer and stunt actors. I want it to be a bit like a Jackie Chan style of fighting with long scene sequences in some areas. ANY feedback is very appreciated! THANK YOU!

Hey Odin - try and network with Tom Proctor and see if he can point you in the right direction :)

I personally don't know anyone, but if you shoot it yourself, keep your actors at a steady speed. when you get to post and play with the speed, it will give you a lot less work and a lot more useable frames. Good Luck with it!!

Hey Odin--Freddie Poole in Dallas, TX is a fight choreographer, stuntman, stunt double, and actor. He owns Freddie Poole's Martial Arts. I do not know if he is on this site yet. He was my martial arts instructor, as well as others on his staff ,and coached me a little for "fight-scene auditions". An impressive person. Give him a shout and see if he is able to help you--Freddiepoole.com is his website. Good-Luck!

if you were doing more eastern style like bar room brawl and european my husband would be the man for you. he uses the environment like jackie chan does, just less kung fu, and more brute like you would see on game of thrones.

sorry for the delayed response. Just came back from vacation! YAY! Hayley, I will keep that in mind for the bar fights. I am looking for martial art styles though. Thank you! Bob, I am shooting around september so I do have enough time to find people. Thank you!
