What a frightening title for this topic! A writer with a proper vocabulary could carry on with a message of greeting indefinitely. I'm certainly guilty of this at places in the past. I've written the proverbial "story of my life" on more than a few forums in fact. I'll spare you guys the lengthy narrative however and skip right to the bits that pertain to my presence here with all of you talented industry professionals. I am remarkably pleased with where I am in my career as a professional writer. My twenties are slowly slipping out of my grasp but I'm finally moving in a direction that feels right and generates positive results. I've had the pleasure in recent years to write for theater, radio, the silver screen, and now my first and only true love (translated: video games). Dreams of becoming the next McAffrey or Heinlein have slowly been replaced by my desire to continue working in the collaborative environments of television production, movie creation, theater efforts, and video game development. I don't have as impressive a resume as some of the other writers I've seen here at Stage 32, but I have just enough to feel confident in joining this site and taking part in the dialogue found here. I'll eventually fill my profile with interesting tidbits and will share noteworthy images and loglines on my wall but in the meantime, I'd like to get to know as many of you as possible. I am always looking for a new gig to do on the side (Bio's Remnant Gaming keeps me busy. I am their Lead Game Designer.) and am always seeking to expand my network of talented individuals and industry contacts. If you need a writer to create content for your project, to edit/fix a script you already have, or to provide a script for your stage, theater, or movie production, then feel free to slip me a message. See you around! ~Matt

That's awesome success indeed. I have written a play and want to publish it but am lost in the business of publishing.
I worked directly with an acting troupe so I was able to escape the horrors of seeking publication. That may be something to look into. It wasn't too difficult to locate a good, professional troupe seeking a writer to provide them with original content for their productions.
