Trailer from my upcoming movie - comments appreciated!

Hi guys! I'm very excited to share the trailer from my upcoming film. I'd love to to hear what you think of it. https://vimeo.com/90660414

Alex Sanon

interesting. The first half of the trailer I was wondering what is the story about. But the second part says it all. Well done

Caroline Gauthier

Thanks Alex

The beginning of the trailer should be taken out. It makes no sense. To be honest after having watched your trailer I still don't have a clear idea what this movie is about. I take it , it is a horror movie but not sure. Before I would actually film it I would send it to be analyzed by the Writers Store or nobullshitconsulting (or something like that, he is a producer) both will charge $350. Having seen your trailer, I doubt you should film it until a professional has given you a 10 to 15 page review of the strength and weakness of your script. I am not trying to be mean. I was told the same thing about two of my scripts. It hurts but it is so easy to spend a lot of money and end up with nothing. Your film quality was good and I like the characters I saw. Like the house and place of the story. Craig

Was I too nice?

Alex Sanon

I was not trying to be nice. I think it's a Drama film. I like the fact that not everything was said in the trailer. Guys it was just a teaser not the all film, what did you expect? What do I know, I am just an actor, not a director or film writer. I understand your criticism, but come up with suggestions like Jeffrey did. We are here to help each other grow.

Caroline Gauthier

Thanks for your comments guys. Jeffrey, this is a trailer for a completed film so unfortunately your advice is non-applicable. The script is actually very strong, unfortunately it seems the trailer doesn't reflect that. Even though I only acted in it, it's very informative for me to get some professional feedback on the trailer.

Jeff Jennings

It is very well shot. I'm a bit confused as to what the film is about from viewing this trailer. Is the nanny a kidnapper?

James David Sullivan

"The Joy of Children" ....

Caroline Gauthier

Jeff, actually it's 3 separate stories, which may be why it's a little confusing. They each have to do with a couple and an issue around having kids. In each situation, both people do not want the same thing and it tears them apart.

Sandra Linz

I like the way you shot this. I also have to say there is no storyline to follow in the trailer, it is quiet confusing as what the film is about. Maybe separate the 3 stories more so it does not intertwine in the trailer so it gets less confusing
