Introduce Yourself : Introducing ROD SIMMONS from Los Angeles, CA! by Rod Simmons

Hi, everybody!! My name is Rod Simmons, a SAG-AFTRA actor. Been doing theater as well as film and television. Most of the film and television has been background acting, but I am looking to expand my repertoire with some full speaking roles. I am a former Navy journalist with broadcasting specialty. I have a BA in Radio, TV and Film from the University of Missouri. I recently went back to college to learn the new digital properties of film making as well as editing and acting. I posted my final film project from those classes as a tribute to the first ship I served on the Navy, the USS Iowa. While in the Navy, I was host of a morning radio oldies show in Newfoundland, Canada, I chased the first Pres. Bush around the USS Guadalcanal with a video camera on Memorial Day, and wrote a lot of news stories that got published in base newspapers and occasionally in a local newspaper.
