I have been asked for what I would charge to write a script for a game. Can anyone give me an idea of what the standard rates are for this sort of thing?

Do you mean a video game? Do you work in that world? How long is the game/script? Wht medium? We'd need WAY more info before we could give you any advice.
No, I haven't been hired to write anything before. It is a video game. They want to write a script of about fifty pages. I'm guessing that's for all the entire game, all levels. I've been working to create a script for TV mostly.
