Filmmaking / Directing : Making my own Gelatine makeup grade by Louise Camish

Hi all, Just after a bit of advice. I have been buying effects grade gelatine for many years, and looking to try making my own. All the recipes say I need 300 bloom, just wondering if anyone has attempted it used 240 Bloom and what the results were. I know with 300 Bloom increasing the ratio creates a tougher gelatine, just wondered if increasing the ratio using 240 can reach the same consistency as a lower ratio using 300 Bloom. And what those ratios might be. Thanks
