Financing / Crowdfunding : Get started with no funding by Louise Camish

This summer we went about disproving the misconception that all films need funding, and made a short, 6 part web series for £0. We would suggest all new filmmakers try this, for three reasons. 1) No one is going to give you funding for your first project - you need to make some films to show you can make a film. 2) It is great practice for when you do get funding - knowing how to keep costs minimal will help you stretch a budget. A lower budget = better chance of finding funding. (Especially when crowd funding) 3) Sharing content online will help you get an audience who will help you fund your next project.
