Walter - definitely check out the Prizmia for GoPro app in the apple store - it is AWESOME for editing GoPro.
I'm making a big assumption that he owns acres of private land extending well into the forest. Most outdoor shooting is done on flat land where you have visual confirmation beyond the target. A 9mm can travel theoretically 3000 meters and effective at 500 meter range. That's alot of real estate to fire blind into the woods on every miss.
