Hi, I'm a published author and screenwriter. I'm trying to raise my first low budget for a movie script that I've written based on one of my books. It's only $35K, but it seems it might as well be a million. And yes, I've tried kickstater, et al, but no luck. I think it's because it's gay themed. Loans for the movie are bound to be paid back with interest at this level!

Thanks gang! As I said just before this message, gotta get the first one made before we can get the next one made after that! I'm open to all sources of money that don't involve the SEC. Too much red tape with the feds involved.
The first movie is about returning Afghanistan Marine Vet with PTSD and the young man he meets during the summer. So, no parts for older men in the first movie, as there are in movies down the road. But, can't get the first one in the can.
