As an author writing a young adult series I have done a fair amount of research of other books in the age group. I'm curious what others may have read and would like any feedback on what others would consider their top 3 to 5 choices of well written, (not necessarily commercially successful) ya books of the past 10 to 15 years. Any opinions would be appreciated.
I personally love the Uglies, Pretties, And Specials trilogy by Scott Westerfield
Being Bullied and Teased Hurts by me its a good Christian based book

The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman was an inspiration to me. Well written and holds your interest.

Thanks for the response. Anyone else with books they enjoyed I'd like to hear from. Needless to say I've read some of the more commercially successful books, so it's nice to hear about any that you all feel are worth reading. Thanks
The Maze Runner trilogy... My nephew plys Frypan in the movie. Did really well in the Box office on opening weekend.
