A once legendary baseball coach, turned drunken degenerate gambler, hosts a scam training camp to settle a debt with an overzealous loan shark.

SYNOPSIS:

Third base coach Roy VanBuren makes a gutsy call in game 7 of the World Series that boosts him to superstar status - over a decade ago.

Fame spirals him into a degenerate drunken gambler, and in debt to a murderous loan shark Rico.

On the lam in Bakersfield, CA - Coach Roy crosses paths with Gregg - a nerdy, recent high school grad who idolizes him. With Rico closing in and debts mounting, Coach Roy decides to scam Gregg and his friends by hosting a third base coach training camp, bail with the money, and clean his slate with Rico.

Along the way, Gregg and his friends show Coach Roy his former happy side, almost ending his self-destructive cycle. Sn unexpected love interest and small time hustler, Stephanie, leaves him at a crossroads between his old life and new.

At the final showdown with Rico, Coach Roy is forced to decide - will he continue on as a lonely degenerate? Or seek a path of redemption?
