Bitterness creeps in when a mother longing for another child realizes her window is closing as the holidays begin. Surrounded by her colorful family in Tennessee, will she resolve to despair or find the spirit of true peace amidst the joyful Christmas traditions.

SYNOPSIS:

As the Christmas season begins, the Laroux family—SARAH, CHANCE, and their son CAMERON know this can be a time of joy and of heartache. Sarah is focused on the one gift she can’t have to bring her joy, another child. With the constant reminder of big families all around her, including her sassy sister ASHLEY’S family of 6, a bitterness has set in. Sensing his wife’s sorrow, the holiday tradition loving Chance desperately wants to make her happy. He comes up with a plan to spend the holiday season serving others. Meanwhile, Cameron is determined to be Joseph in the church’s Christmas play but must overcome his perennial nemesis, SCOTTY, who beat him out last year.

With the season in full swing, Ashley and her competitive Texan husband JUKE discover that they’re miraculously expecting. Knowing that this news will hurt Sarah, Ashley attempts to conceal her pregnancy signs from Sarah until they announce after the holidays. Chance is doing his best to cheer up his wife as Sarah is reluctant to join in on his idea of serving others. When Cameron’s former preschool teacher, MARIA, comes to her looking for some advice on motherhood, she embraces the moment. This encounter leads to an opportunity for Sarah to grow her family. At the same time, Cameron receives bad news on the Christmas play. After nefariously lying to the play’s director, the quirky Mrs. LOONEY-BYRD, Scotty will reprise the role of Joseph. Cameron fumes after being selected to play a sheep.

With Sarah closer than she’s ever been to growing her family, she seems to have regained her joy. Looking to be the bigger person, Cameron accepts his sheep role and offers kind words to Scotty on the night of the play. As luck would have it, Scotty’s unable perform the role after intermission due to a trick played on him by other cast members aware of his nefarious behavior, and Cameron finally gets his dream of playing Joseph. Meanwhile, Chance encounters a dilemma that doing the right thing in service of a young father may ultimately hurt his wife’s goals. In the end, after having navigated the ups and downs of the holiday season, the Laroux’s are given the ultimate gift. Finding out what really matters at Christmas, and Sarah discovers where everlasting joy begins!
