An internet sensation, Jackie, retells her rise to fame and the controversial deaths surrounding it. As she recounts the events that happened, she uses her social prowess to manipulate her follower's opinions, essentially and literally getting away with murder. 

SYNOPSIS:

A thriller commentary film, centered around an influencer that gains internet fame by killing “haters” in a live-streaming app, and how it gave her more acclaim than ever.

Our story begins, with the end. Our titular main character Jacklyn or @Jackieinthebox tells her story through an apology video. She’s ready to tell her side of the story.

Jackie recounts her rise to fame, her blow up as an influencer, and the “incidents” that she has brought forward to talk about. She murdered her boyfriend, but hey, she was forced. I mean everyone saw what happened on the livestream, but did they see the full picture?

And as she continued to kill, they were just a string of coincidences. Afterall, she’s not a killer, she’s a savior. She got rid of horrible people, that just so also happened to cross her path. Yes she gained a mass of follower’s support, and brand deals, and appearance fees in music videos… well that is, until someone exposes her for the monster she really is.

Celebrity Status is a thrilling tale of manipulation, untrustworthy narrators, and the real power internet fame can give you. Our “hero” Jackie puts on a sexy, friendly, and upbeat appearance, to hide her true two-faced nature. She’s willing to say whatever it takes to prove that she’s not the culprit, but the victim.

I was inspired to write this story after seeing the horrible things influencers do so blatantly, and seemingly get away with it on the internet. And with their army of followers, so quick to believe them when they lie, I thought it only fitting to push this narrative to an absurd point to prove how influencers can literally get away with murder.
