THE JUPITER CHRONICLES

In a world of advanced machines powered by the mist of Jupiter’s skies, an impoverished and heavy-hearted boy learns the truth about his missing father and fights to free him and the planet from subjugation by Martian invaders before their final plan for total conquest unfolds.

Comparables: Characters with innate powers like Harry Potter and a focus on family dynamics like The Incredibles mixed with the fantastical adventure of How to Train Your Dragon.

Personal connection: I was working on a project when my 8-year-old daughter came down the stairs and asked, “Daddy, what would happen if a boy and girl rescued their daddy on another planet?” I put down what I was working on and found out. Now, it’s a massive world-building project.

UPDATE: Consultation with Clayton Conroy went well. I enjoyed the time and he gave me some great ideas. I was happy that one piece met both of his loves - historical and science fiction.
